Election Day is Tuesday: Travis County voters can use any polling place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 3, is the last chance to vote in the 2026 midterm election. Polls across Texas are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Travis County is part of the countywide polling place program, so voters around Lakeway, Bee Cave, Spicewood and the rest of the lake can vote at any open Travis County location, not just their home precinct.
Bring one of the seven accepted photo IDs: a Texas driver's license, Texas personal ID card, Texas handgun license or Texas election ID certificate issued by DPS, a U.S. military ID with photo, a U.S. citizenship certificate with photo, or a U.S. passport. If you don't have one, you can sign a reasonable impediment declaration and show something like a utility bill, a paycheck or a birth certificate. You can bring a printed sample ballot or notes. Phones, tablets and smartwatches aren't allowed in the voting area, and campaigning is not allowed within 100 feet of the entrance.
The ballot includes U.S. Senate, governor and other statewide races, every Texas House seat, newly redrawn congressional districts, and local races and propositions. Mail ballots must be turned in or postmarked by 7 p.m. Tuesday. With storms expected to move through early Tuesday morning, voting later in the morning or in the afternoon may mean a drier trip.
