Warm, dry weekend at the lake, with rain chances building toward Halloween

Oct 23, 2026 · 8:05 AM|1 min read|16 readers|By KSAT

Friday wraps up the week with a cool start and a sunny, mid-80s afternoon, and conditions look close to ideal for Friday night football under the lights.

The weekend stays rain-free around Central Texas, with a little more cloud cover by Sunday, a chance of patchy morning fog, and highs holding in the 80s. That makes Saturday and Sunday solid days for one more warm outing on Lake Travis.

Next week is less certain. A weak system could bring a few light showers Tuesday, and forecasters are watching a developing storm out west that could pull in Pacific moisture for better rain chances late in the week, possibly including Halloween. Keep an eye on the forecast if you have trick-or-treating or lake plans on the 31st.
