Soggy Friday at the lake, then rain clears out in time for Halloween night
Rain sticks around the lake today. The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio expects steady light to moderate rain to spread east through the I-35 corridor later today and this evening, with about half an inch to an inch more in most spots. Clouds and rain hold highs in the mid 60s to mid 70s.
Showers turn more scattered on Saturday, with drier breaks in between, and forecasters expect rain chances to end by late afternoon, so evening trick-or-treating should stay dry. Saturday highs climb back into the 70s and low 80s.
Sunday and Monday look rain-free and warmer, in the upper 70s to low 80s across the Hill Country. A cold front on Tuesday could bring a line of showers and storms, followed by cooler mornings and pleasant afternoons later next week. The current Flood Watch covers counties well west of us, but low-water crossings can still flood quickly during heavier downpours.
