Lake Travis volleyball shares the district title and opens the playoffs this week
Lake Travis volleyball finished the regular season with a four-set win over Westlake, giving the Cavaliers a three-way share of the district championship with Westlake and Round Rock, the Austin American-Statesman reports. Each of the three teams won at home and lost on the road against the other two.
Senior Gentry Barker led the way in her last regular-season match with 24 kills and 17 digs. Maggie Wheeler added 13 kills and 21 digs, Xyanna Stephens had 24 digs, and Tatum Wilson posted 34 assists.
Lake Travis now heads into the Class 6A Division I playoffs, with Round Rock holding the higher seed of the two district teams in that bracket. A bi-district match against Stony Point is listed on Leander ISD's ticketing site, and UIL's bi-district round runs October 29 to 31. Check the Cavaliers' schedule for the final time and place.
