It's a big Friday for Lake Travis athletics. Before the football Cavaliers take on Westlake, the volleyball team hosts the Chaparrals at 6:30 p.m. in a rematch of two of the area's hottest teams.

Lake Travis comes in at 37-6 on a five-match win streak after sweeping McNeil, with Maggie Wheeler and Gentry Barker leading the way. Westlake is 36-8 and has won six straight, including its own lopsided sweep of McNeil.

Westlake won the first meeting 3-1 back on Sept. 29, but this time the Cavaliers have the home crowd. A Lake Travis win would pull them even with Westlake atop District 25-6A heading into the playoffs.
