Travis Club, a 1,500-acre private community on the southwest shore of Lake Travis near Spicewood, has opened its members-only golf course. The 18-hole layout was designed by Beau Welling and was built to take advantage of Hill Country terrain: elevation changes, hilltop views, and holes routed along the lake. It plays as a par 71 and stretches more than 7,300 yards from the back tees, with multiple tee options. Construction started in September 2024 and finished ahead of a Labor Day weekend member opening. CEO Leisha Ehlert called the debut a milestone for members who bought into the project early.
The course is not open to the public. It sits inside a larger club-and-homesite plan of nearly 700 custom lots, with homesite prices starting in the low $700,000s and first move-ins expected in early 2027. Other amenities planned or underway include a clubhouse, fitness and wellness space, a private marina and boat club, more than 30 miles of trails, waterfront recreation, racquet courts, and the Peninsula Club.
