Mark your calendars for Friday, not Thursday. The Area Champion Lake Travis volleyball team faces San Antonio Brennan in the UIL 6A Division I regional semifinals on Friday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m. at Buda Johnson High School, 4260 FM 967 in Buda.

It's a doubleheader night at Johnson. Westlake plays O'Connor in a 6A Division II regional semifinal at 5:30 p.m. in the same gym, so the Lake Travis match could start a bit later than scheduled. Both teams bring long winning streaks, with the Cavaliers on eight straight and Brennan on 10 straight, according to MaxPreps.

Lake Travis earned the trip by sweeping Reagan in the Area round, a night when senior Gentry Barker reached 2,000 career kills. The winner moves on to the regional final. The team is asking fans to wear red and black.
