Something may be changing at one of the Lake Travis area's go-to coffee-and-pizza counters. A filing with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission seeks a mixed-beverage permit, which allows a full liquor bar, plus a food-and-beverage certificate for "Neighbor's Cafe" at Suite 205, 4900 Bee Creek Road near Lakeway, the address Winston's has operated from since 2023.

The application was filed in September by ALM Restaurant Group, LLC, with Justin Dalton listed as manager. Winston's, known for toasts, acai bowls, juices and wood-fired pizza with beer and wine, was still open under its own name as of last week, and the filing covers only the original Bee Creek Road suite, not the Bee Cave location.

No one has said publicly yet whether Neighbor's Cafe is a new name for the same shop, a new operator taking over the space, or a separate concept. Menu, hours and timing haven't been announced.
