Rain moves in tonight and soaks Lake Travis on Sunday, with more showers Monday

Nov 7, 2026 · 8:03 AM|1 min read|33 readers|By National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio

Get your Saturday lake time in early. The National Weather Service expects a mostly cloudy Saturday around Lake Travis with a high near 71 and only a slight chance of rain after 3 p.m.

Rain becomes likely Saturday evening, with a chance of showers and a few thunderstorms toward midnight and a low around 57. Sunday looks like a washout: steady rain with a 100% chance, a cool high near 65, and a quarter to a half inch of new rain possible on top of the tenth to quarter inch expected overnight.

Showers stay likely Monday with a high near 67 before chances fade Tuesday, when highs climb back to about 71. Winds stay light through the stretch, but plan for wet docks and ramps, and with the lake close to full, keep an eye on any LCRA updates if rain totals run higher than forecast.
