Here's a Halloween-season outing that's a little different from the usual haunted trail. On Saturday, Oct. 24, the Lakeway Activity Center will screen the 1922 silent horror film Nosferatu while the Lake Travis Chamber Orchestra performs the score live.
The show runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek in Lakeway. The city is billing it as a 104th-anniversary showing of the black-and-white vampire classic, a chance to see a thriller the way audiences did a century ago, with live music supplying the suspense.
Tickets are $7 and can be bought online through the city or by calling the Activity Center at 512-261-1010. Concessions will be sold, with proceeds supporting the Lake Travis High School Chamber Orchestra, and guests are encouraged to come dressed as vampires.
