Lake Travis and Westlake prep for title games

Lake Travis and Westlake have both planned activities to celebrate their football teams’ trip to the state championship game on Saturday.

Lake Travis will play Longview in the Class 4A, Division I championship game at 6 p.m. at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco. Westlake plays Euless Trinity in the Class 5A, Division I championship game at 2 p.m. at the Alamodome in Waco.

Car painting will take place at Lake Travis on Wednesday evening at 4 p.m. and a pep rally is scheduled for 3:10 on Thursday at Cavalier Stadium. At 9 a.m. on Saturday, the school will host a breakfast for the players that is open to the public and fans are then encouraged to line-up on Ranch Road 620 by the high school at 12:45 p.m. to send the team off.

A pep rally for the Chaparrals will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Westlake Village and at 5:00 p.m., Westlake cheerleaders will be decorating cars at the nearby HEB. Fans are encouraged to line up on Camp Craft Road at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday to send the team off to the Alamodome.
