Native Austin Plants at Water Treatment Plant to be moved

Volunteers and city workers will begin transplanting native plants Thursday from a site near Lake Travis that will soon be cleared to make way for a new water treatment plant. 


According to a statement by the city, volunteers from environmental and neighborhood groups will help city workers move native trees and plants from the site of the Austin Water Utility's Water Treatment Plant 4. The plants will be moved to Bull Creek District Park and other parks and preserves throughout the city.
