A man who died while out on a party barge on Lake Travis last weekend has been identified as 31-year-old Brian Robinson of White Plains, New York.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office say the party barge was out in the Devil’s Hollow area when the people on the boat noticed Robinson was missing around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 11. Search crews conducted surface searches over the next 24 hours to no avail.

On Monday, the department called in divers to help in the search for Robinson’s body, but it was actually a Lake Travis homeowner who found the body floating in Devil’s Hollow around 8 p.m.

The Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office is determining Robinson’s cause of death.

Over the past five years, 17 people have drowned in various parts of Lake Travis.
