Austin City Limits Music Festival pushed Saturday’s opening back to 2 p.m. so crews could prepare a muddy Zilker Park for Weekend One, Day 2. Organizers texted festivalgoers Saturday morning that parts of the park were still muddy and doors would stay closed until 2 p.m. Friday’s gates had already slipped about 15 minutes when rain hit as crowds lined up at noon, and attendees walked into puddles and mud. The rain eased later Friday, but the ground did not dry out overnight.

ACL told people to wear waterproof shoes they do not mind getting wet and muddy, and to be patient moving around the grounds. An updated performance schedule was expected later Saturday. Cloudy skies and a chance of showers remain in the forecast, with isolated storms possible along the I-35 corridor, mainly in the afternoon. The KVUE page itself did not load, so this account follows the festival’s Saturday alert and matching local coverage.
