Update 8:25 a.m.:
Central Texas has seen a healthy dose of showers throughout the region and more could be on the way Wednesday.

In the last two hours, Camp Mabry has posted almost a quarter-inch of rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Rainfall totals of less than one inch have been reported elsewhere around Travis County since midnight, including a half-inch in Lago Vista and a quarter-inch in Marble Falls.

We could see another round of showers later today and tonight, the service said.

There’s a 60 percent chance for rain today, followed by a 30 percent chance of rain tonight.

The high will be 88, followed by a low of 73 tonight.

Today’s rainfall follows an already wet start to the week, with Camp Mabry posting a half-inch of rain Monday and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport posting one-third inch. Both stations did not report any rainfall Tuesday.

Earlier: Central Texas will get another shot at rain Wednesday as an upper level disturbance moves toward the region and boosts area chances for showers and isolated thunderstorms.

Already early Wednesday, there were reports of scattered showers along an area stretching from Bastrop to Austin to Burnet and beyond, with the rainfall moving northwest at about 15 to 20 mph.

Rainfall amounts of up to one-half inch could be expected, the National Weather Service said. Other areas could see spotty rainfall amounts of up to one-tenth inch.

There’s also a threat of flooding along low-water crossings, the service warned.

“The main threat will be locally heavy downpours,” the service said. “Isolated amounts of one to two inches may cause ponding of water in low lying areas.”

There’s a 60 percent chance for rain today, followed by a 30 percent chance of rain tonight.

The high will be 88, followed by a low of 73 tonight.

Today’s rainfall chances follow a wet start to the week, with Camp Mabry posting a half-inch of rain Monday and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport posting one-third inch. Both stations did not report any rainfall Tuesday.
