Westlake and Lake Travis swept superlatives when All-District 14-6A boys basketball honors were announced last week.

Lake Travis senior guard Jake Budde was selected as the district’s most valuable player and senior guard Tate Searle was awarded Offensive Player of the Year. Head coach Clint Baty was named co-Coach of the Year along with Daniel Pittsford of Anderson.

Westlake junior guard Mack Kelley was named the district’s Defensive Player of the Year and freshman Luke Pluymen was the Newcomer of the Year.


There were 26 total players honored on the all-district boys basketball team -13 on the first team and 13 on the second team. All players that won superlative awards were put on the first team except the newcomer of the year.

Aside from Kelley, Searle and Buddee, Westlake seniors Harrison Hackney and Lucas Goldberg were also given first team honors.

Also selected to the first team by district coaches were Akins’ Isaiah Ramdeen (sr.), Anderson’s Kevin Fisher (sr.) and Foster Allen (sr.), Austin High’s Davis Franklin (jr.), Bowie’s Hudson Urbanus (sr.), Del Valle’s Romeo Boatswain (sr.) and Hays’ Jake Kraka (jr.) and Charles Bohannon (soph.)


Lake Travis senior Christian Seidl was selected to the second team, as was Westlake senior Isaac Reichle.

Also selected to the second team were Akins Cameron Ivey (soph.), Anderson’s Andrew Foster (jr.) and Colin Frame (jr.), Austin High’s Nick Perez (sr.), Del Valle’s Dayante McClellan (soph.) and Malcolm Greene (soph.), Hays’ Jerome Scaturro (sr.), Nate Alvarado (sr.) and Heath Agnew (sr.) and Lehman’s Ivan Melendez (sr.) and JaMiah Windom (sr.).
