Labor Day is the unofficial end of Summer, but businesses on Lake Travis aren't slowing down anytime soon.

Monday was one of the busiest this summer for Owner of Just for Fun Watercraft rentals Pete Clark.

"It's been back to back busy," said Clark. "All the boats we have have been out really since Saturday morning. Just over and over and over again. It's been a good solid weekend."

Clark says it's not just Labor Day weekend, Just for Fun has seen one of its busiest years in quite some time. Hundreds of people rented boats, jet skis and party barges Monday. He attributes the particularly good summer season to the higher lake levels.

Jarel Richard and a group of his friends from Houston came to Lake Travis to rent a ski boat. He says the higher water levels make for a more enjoyable time on the lake.

"Thank God for the rain," said Richard. "A few years ago it was dried up."

While lake levels are higher this Labor Day compared to years past, the levels are steadily going down because of how little rainfall we've had since Memorial Day.
