A structure fire in west Austin late Friday night was contained before causing more damage or grassfires. Lake Travis Fire Rescue responded to a call at about 11:36 p.m. last night in the Steiner Ranch area about a structure fire off 1200 Minnie Dr. Crews arrived to find a vacant mobile home fully involved. The fire was extinguished from the outside to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring homes or vegetation. There were no reported injuries to either residents or firefighters.

Damage is estimated at $50,000 or less and the cause is still under investigation. Austin Fire Department and Travis County Fire Marshal’s Office assisted.
