Some new Westlake High School graduates have found a fun way to make money this summer and it puts them at one of their favorite places, the lake with friends.

Chris Bybee, Bril flint, and Tate Bowden have started up a small on-the-lake business called Sno Boat. The concept is simple provide snow cones of 20 different varieties to Lake Austin goers.

The boys wanted to make some extra money this summer but didn't want to take a regular teen summer job. So with the popularity of snow cone stands around Austin and the help of one of their father's boat, they came up with this idea.

The business has been up and running for four weeks now. The boys say it already seems to be a hit, but still has room for more growth.

"I think we're still on the upslope. Hopefully, I think as more people come out, and they hear about it, I think we're definitely going to get more and more business," Bowden said.

Sno Boat can be found at the south end of Lake Austin. Hours are Tuesday through Friday 3 to 7 p.m. and weekends noon to 7 p.m.
