Investigators with the Travis County Sheriff's Office say 24-year-old Angel Salazar Perez, of Manor, was pulled from the water near Bob Wentz Park at around 10:10 p.m.

He had gone missing near the park earlier that day at around 4:30 p.m.

After hours of searching, divers with the Sheriff’s Underwater Recovery Team located and recovered Perez in about 6 feet of water, several yards from the last seen location reported by the witness.

According to Sheriff’s Office Detective all indications are that Perez died as a result of fresh water drowning, however the final autopsy report will not be released until it is completed.
