The Texas Department of Public Safety says the search has been
suspended for an off-duty trooper who did not return following a boat
trip on Lake Travis during bad weather.
DPS spokeswoman Tela Mange told The Associated
Press that an update would be provided later Wednesday. She declined to
release further details in the search for 50-year-old Trooper Wesley
Chenault of Spicewood.
Chenault went out Monday afternoon in a flat-bottom aluminum boat
to check some trot lines, but never returned. The boat was located
hours later on the banks of the lake.
Mange says emergency personnel had searched through Tuesday
night.
