Experts conclude that the best way to lower stress is to not think about how stress can ambush you at any moment, even when you're sleeping, and destroy everything you've worked so hard to achieve. Failing that, there's always today's deal: for $99, you get a choice of a daytime spa package or overnight stay (up to a $210 value) at The Crossings near Lake Travis. The Crossings won TreeHugger's 2010 Best of Green award for Best Resort. This Groupon is not valid for children under the age of 16.

The Crossings, Austin’s premier green resort, provides visitors with an environmentally friendly stress-shedding getaway more convenient than orbiting the planet in a soundproof space pod. As they soak in views of striking Lake Travis in the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve, patrons will be pampered with a bevy of amenities, including an outdoor infinity-edge pool, a Watsu massage pool, and a pool filled with adorable puppies. Visitors can also defrazzle their synapses with movement studios, sundecks, hiking trails, and healthy-cuisine consumption on outdoor patios.

The Crossings' day package (a $195 value) for one person includes a healthy lunch and a $125 credit (gratuity included, tax additional) toward one spa service, as well as unfettered access to the pool, hot tub, and dry sauna plus all programs and activities. The overnight package (up to a $210 value) includes eco-luxury accommodations for two people, breakfast, all programs and activities, and full access to spa amenities. Both packages include non-alcoholic beverages, free WiFi access, and complimentary parking.

Taking good care of skin is important at any age. When future forms of facial recognition require a scan of the face before entering a hovercraft or opening a can of hovercraft fuel with an automatic can-opener, it’ll be nice to know you’re dependably radiant. At The Crossings, patrons can obtain a variety of spa services while soaking in a soothing getaway experience. Call ahead to make an appointment.

Overnight packages do not include golf, spa treatments, alcoholic beverages, or extra meals.

Reviews

Yelpers give The Crossings four stars, and TripAdvisors give it 3.5 owl eyes. The Crossings received Best Resort from TreeHugger's Best of Green 2010:

• Hotels that promise "all the comforts of home" are good -- but not as good as hotels that come with all the comforts that your home would have in your wildest dreams: infinity pools, inspired cuisine, pristine housekeeping, on-site spa treatments. For an eco-friendly take on the better-home-than-home variety, book a stay at The Crossings in Austin, Texas… – By the Copeland, TreeHugger
• The dance classes and yoga was [sic] good. – jvdberg, TripAdvisor
• The food was fantastic and I have attempted to recreate much of the cuisine here at home. – connie817, TripAdvisor
