Three Austin area campuses have been recognized in US News and World Report's latest list of America's best high schools.

Lake Travis High School, Westwood High School and Westlake High School all earned silver medals based on the how well they prepare students for college.

The magazine and the company School Evaluation Services looked at data from more than 20,000 schools around the country.

The silver medals mean those schools ranked in the top 561 campuses in the US.
