Volunteers and city workers will begin transplanting native plants
Thursday from a site near Lake Travis that will soon be cleared to make
way for a new water treatment plant.
According to a statement by the city, volunteers from environmental
and neighborhood groups will help city workers move native trees and
plants from the site of the Austin Water Utility's Water Treatment
Plant 4. The plants will be moved to Bull Creek District Park and other
parks and preserves throughout the city.
