The Lower Colorado River Authority predicts Lake Travis to rise as much at eight feet due to the rain that fell Wednesday night.

Lake Travis has already risen four feet.

Thursday morning Lake levels were at 636 feet above mean sea level (msl). LCRA expects those levels to rise between 640 and 642 msl by midnight Thursday.

Over the next few days it痴 expected to rise to 644 msl which is still more than 22 feet below its monthly average.

LCRA officials expect Lake Buchanan to also rise about half a foot.

After rains flooded the region, LCRA officials opened flood gates at Wirtz Dam and Starcke Dam to control flooding.
