Campbell McCrea of Westlake and Hunter Akers of Lake TravisIn a game billed as The Battle of the Great Lakes, Lake Travis proved to be the greater lake with a 42-21 victory over Westlake in a game delayed over an hour due to lightning. With the win, Lake Travis extended is state best winning streak to 32 games. Their last loss was to Westlake back in September of 2007.

Lake Travis scored the game's first points when senior Kramer Fyfe kicked a 24 yard field goal after Hunter Akers intercepted a Tanner Price pass in the end zone and returned it to their own 3 yard line. Lake Travis was able to drive the ball 95 yards before having to settle for 3 and from there Lake Travis never surrendered the lead.

RB Andy Erickson once again had an outstanding offensive night with 6 receptions for 160 yards and added 34 more yards on 10 carries. But the offensive star of the night was QB Michael Brewer throwing for 414 yards and 1 TD and adding 60 yards on 10 carries and 3 TDs. QB Tanner Price threw for 169 yards and 1 TD and rushed for 139 yards and 1 TD for Westlake.
