One of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time, The Beach Boys, fronted by original lead singer and songwriter Mike Love, will play on the beach at Carlos'N Charlie's on Lake Travis just before Labor Day Weekend, Thursday, September 3rd. It's the first time The Beach Boys have played Austin in many years and an amazing chance for fans of all ages to see them up close and personal on the shores of Lake Travis.
The Beach Boys aren't just your everyday band. They've played the Superbowl, Live Aide, Farm Aide, even the White House. They were honored with Grammy's Lifetime Achievement Award, and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They have recorded countless hit singles and records, sold over 100 million records and created some of the most famous rock songs ever written. Everyone knows "California Girls," "Fun, Fun, Fun," and "Kokomo." The band's "Good Vibrations" was ranked the "Number One Song of the Century" by Rolling Stone Magazine. The same publication ranked the band's Pet Sounds album the number two record of all time.
The Beach Boys will be playing their hits live, in the somewhat intimate setting of the beach stage at Carlos'N Charlie's. The stage faces Carlos'N Charlie's with the lake as a backdrop and a sandy beach as the dance floor. This is a once-in-a-life time chance to see this timeless band. A limited number of tickets will be available for the show. Tickets go on sale at noon on Friday, August 7th, at Carlos'N Charlie's and online at www.gettix.net. Tickets are a reasonable $40 plus service charge. This is an all-ages show
