Construction is underway on Pickleball Grove, a planned 15-court racquet sports complex at 5411 Reimers Peacock Road in Spicewood. Crews broke ground Oct. 12 on the first four outdoor pickleball courts, which are expected to open in mid- to late December.

The full build-out calls for eight indoor pickleball courts, including four designed for championship play, plus three indoor padel courts. The indoor facility is targeted for late February and is planned to include camera-equipped courts, a mezzanine lounge with a boardroom and ping-pong tables, and locker rooms with showers.

Once open, the facility plans to offer open play, clinics and private coaching. State filings list the privately funded project at an estimated $6.9 million.
