Thursday night's strong cold front has delivered the first real taste of fall to Central Texas. After Friday's gusty winds, Saturday is shaping up sunny and cool with highs in the upper 60s, though it will still be breezy on the water at times.

Sunday morning should be the coldest of the weekend, with Austin dipping to around 47 degrees and outlying Hill Country spots, including areas around the lake, possibly falling into the low to mid 40s. Afternoon highs Sunday rebound into the low to mid 70s, still about 10 degrees below normal for mid-October.

A steady warming trend follows next week, with highs returning to the 80s and possibly nearing 90 by late in the week. Little to no rain is expected over the next seven days.
