The Cavaliers bounced back in a big way Friday night, blanking Stony Point 47-0 on the road at Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex in Round Rock. It was a welcome response after last week's one-point loss to Cedar Ridge in the return to the renovated Cavalier Stadium.

The win lifts Lake Travis to 3-2-1 on the season, while Stony Point drops to 3-5. Lake Travis' offense, which has topped 34 points every game this year, kept rolling, and this time the defense held up its end too.

Next up is the one everyone circles on the calendar: Lake Travis hosts rival Westlake at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23. A replay of the Stony Point game is available on the NFHS Network.
