The Lake Travis Cavaliers came up one point short on Oct. 9, losing 35-34 to the Cedar Ridge Raiders in the program's first home game at the newly renovated Cavalier Stadium.
MaxPreps called the result a surprise, since Lake Travis entered the game ranked well ahead of Cedar Ridge in its Texas rankings. The loss ended a four-game home winning streak that dated back to last season and dropped the Cavaliers to 2-2-1 overall. Cedar Ridge stayed undefeated at 7-0.
The district schedule continues Friday, Oct. 16, when Lake Travis travels to face Round Rock Stony Point at 7 p.m. The Cavaliers then come home on Oct. 23 for a big district matchup with rival Westlake, also at 7 p.m. Fans who missed the Cedar Ridge game can watch a replay on the NFHS Network.
