Trestle Studio acquires Lakeway Resort & Spa, plans for renovations

Trestle Studio, a boutique real estate investment and development firm, acquired the historic Lakeway Resort & Spa in May 2026. The 168-room property, originally founded in 1963, sits along 65 miles of Lake Travis shoreline and offers convenient access to nearby golf courses, wineries, and downtown Austin.
The company plans extensive renovations to refresh more than 24,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, redevelop locally inspired food and beverage options, expand wellness and recreational programming, and modernize guestrooms along with other amenities. Founder Jake Lamstein highlighted the property’s strong sense of place and its deep connection to Lake Travis and the surrounding community as key reasons for the acquisition. Renovation timelines have not yet been announced.
