Austin is kicking off June with hot and humid conditions, but rain chances will steadily increase as the week progresses. Monday will feature mostly partly cloudy skies with highs in the low 90s and only a slim 10% chance of isolated showers. The heat will feel intense due to high humidity, though a few spotty showers could pop up in the afternoon.

Rain chances ramp up significantly midweek, with scattered thunderstorms expected Tuesday through Thursday (20-50% chance) and highs cooling into the upper 80s as cloud cover increases. By late week and into the weekend, repeated rounds of rain could bring a heightened risk of localized flash flooding, especially on Friday which carries a marginal risk. While exact locations of heaviest rain remain uncertain, conditions will stay warm and muggy overall.
