LCRA to close Lake Travis to boating on Monday evening

Lower Colorado River Authority will close Lake Travis to recreational boating until further notice effective at 8:30 p.m. on Monday.

As of just before 11:00 a.m. Monday, Lake Travis was at 692.56 feet above mean sea level and is rising slowly, according to LCRA. It is expected to hit 693 feet msl Monday evening.

LCRA says they are taking this action "due to the increasing danger submerged objects pose to recreational boaters and the detrimental impact of boat wakes to property."
