 Many midcentury-modern homes fit the same mold: low ceilings and a vintage color scheme. While this three-bedroom, two-bath house is unique in its aesthetic, the centerpiece of the home might be best admired from the backyard. The home overlooks Lake Austin, the Pennybacker Bridge and an expanse of mature trees. The home offers dramatic panoramas from its living room, which is walled in by floor-to-ceiling glass. Set on nearly an acre in Austin's Highland Park West subdivision, the 2,174-square-foot house backs up to the 216-acre Bright Leaf Preserve. This home is currently on the market for $2,345,000.
