The lack of water on Lake Travis is affecting traffic on another lake.
With few options for boat ramps on Lake Travis, more boaters, like Scott Swank, who was boating on Lake Austin Saturday, are looking to Lake Austin for their summer boating experience.
"We usually go to Lake Travis more often than we do Lake Austin, but with the lake levels the way they are, there's nowhere to put [the boat] in on the water if you're not already on the water," Swank said.
Terra Asher teaches wakeboarding for Free Ride Wakeboard school, and she's not happy about the extra traffic.
"There's just too many boats on the lake," Asher said.
Asher sees the traffic jam as a safety concern.
"They're bringing boats on here that don't necessarily need to be on here. They're too big. They're not exactly lake savvy for a lake that's this small and this narrow," she said.
She's trying to be extra careful with her students.
"We definitely try to watch out a little bit more, and we also try to go to different areas of the lake, if that's at all possible," she said.
