Welcome rains pushed through Central Texas on Friday, and the chance for more wet weather continues Saturday and Sunday.

Friday’s forecast calls for a 50% chance of rain with high temperatures in the lower 70s.  A 50% chance of rain continues Friday night and lows will drop down into the upper 50s. Cloudy skies continue Saturday with a 60% chance of rain and a high of 70 degrees.

Rain chances look very good Sunday as a cold front arrives in the morning hours. This is a strong cold front, so have those coats handy; Sunday’s high will top out in the lower 50s during the morning before falling in the afternoon.

Small chances for rain persist Monday with morning lows in the upper 30s and highs in the upper 40s.  Behind the front, the winds will crank up Sunday through Tuesday, making temperatures feel even colder.
