Firefighters and emergency medical personnel tried to revive her at the scene and she was taken to Metroplex Hospital where Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin pronounced her dead just after 4:15 a.m.

The back portion of the home suffered severe damage

Both 40th St. and Lake Travis Ave. were closed to traffic while firefighters fought the blaze.

The fire was under control within about half an hour.
