Emergency crews recovered the bodies of two men from Austin lakes on Wednesday.
The body of a man who fell into Lady Bird Lake just after noon was recovered by dive teams about 4 p.m., officials said.
Another man vanished in Lake Austin later in the afternoon, and his body was found Wednesday night.
Austin police said the man on Lady Bird Lake had been kayaking when he had a medical episode and fell into the water near Lou Neff Road in Zilker Park.
Swimmers from the Austin Fire Department and Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services searched unsuccessfully at the spot for about 30 minutes before divers began their search.
The second man was seen jumping from the Pennybacker Bridge into Lake Austin about 3 p.m., officials said.
They did not know why the man jumped off the bridge, which is on Capital of Texas Highway (Loop 360).
His body was recovered about 9 p.m., Austin police officials said.
