A 35-year-old man pulling a water-skier after dark on Lake Austin is arrested and now facing a boating while intoxicated charge.
Jason Ake was arrested around 9:20 Saturday night. Police said Ake was pulling a man on a jet-ski after sunset so they pulled him over in his white Malibu boat.
Police said Ake smelled strongly of alcohol, had bloodshot and glassy eyes and was lying.
A court affidavit shows that Ake blew a .164 on a Preliminary Breath test; that is twice the legal limit.
On board the boat police found a half empty pint of sweet tea vodka and 4 cans of Coors Light beer.
Ake was arrested and given a $4,000 bond and ordered to install an ignition interlock device.
