The popular Lake Travis destination Devil's Cove is closed to boat traffic Monday while recovery crews search for the body of a missing boater.

The boater, a 26-year-old black male, was reported missing Sunday at 5:45 p.m.

Dive teams began the underwater search Monday morning.  Search crews looked for the missing person until about 9 p.m. Sunday night.

"Six divers are in the water two at a time but they are dealing with zero visibility right now," said Travis County Sheriff's spokersperson Roger Wade.

A 911 call said that a man fell into the water and did not resurface.

There have been four drownings on Lake Travis in the last six weeks. LCRA officials advise being aware of your environment in the water and always wear a life jacket.

"Lake swimming is very different from swimming in any other environment," said LCRA's Krista Umscheid. "You have very uneven bottom and you don't kow if your next step is going to be in four feet of water or 20."

Meanwhile, crews on Monday morning responded to a call for a water rescue near Hurst Harbor Marina by Lakeway City Park. Rescuers found a sinking boat with two people on board. Neither required medical treatment.
