Travis County authorities are searching for a man who they believe may have drowned off Windy Point near Bob Wentz Park Saturday afternoon. Emergency personnel were called in just after 2 p.m.
The victim is said to be part of a church group from Houston that was visiting for the day. Authorities say the man, who is in his mid 30s, was trying to swim across the lake when he went under and has not been seen since.
Just before 4 p.m., the rescue shifted to a recovery.
Just six days ago, another man drowned in that same area. The 22-year-old’s body was found Tuesday.
