Family and friends of an Austin woman missing for a month are appealing to the community for information on her whereabouts.
The mother of 26-year old Jamie Minor told KVUE Friday that her daughter was last seen May 23rd at the W Hotel. Other reports from friends of Minor say she was last seen at Bar 512 on 6th Street the same night.
“I definitely feel that there's something keeping her from communicating. That's the danger I feel,” said Pamela Minor, Jamie’s mother.
Jamie, a Lake Travis High School graduate, is described as being in a transitionary period in her life with no permanent place to stay nor a car. According to family, she was working to save enough money for a place of her own.
Pamela Minor says her daughter was last seen May 23rd when she was being fired from the “W” Hotel. Neither Minor nor the “W” Hotel will discuss the particulars.
“I'm just supposing that she was on her way out of the hotel, probably trying to find a place to stay. Right now, I don't have anything else to go on. I'm relying on someone out there who is either caring for her or maybe who she's just with,” added Pamela Minor.
On Sunday, June 26th from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., friends of Jamie Minor are hosting a fundraiser brunch at Enzo Restaurant and Lounge. They’re trying to raise money for more fliers and for reward money to find the missing young woman.
“I think it's dangerous in my opinion for her to be out there without having any support from friends or family. to me that's dangerous. We need to hear from her and that's what we really want to get out there,” added Pamela Minor.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call Austin Police.
