For anyone thinking about taking a boat trip out onto Lake Travis, better do it soon.

Currently two of the four lanes on the boat ramp at Mansfield Dam are the only ones open. The minimum lake level to keep that ramp open is 640 feet, and right now, Lake Travis is barely above that level.

If Austin doesn't receive some much needed rain soon, the Mansfield Dam ramp will likely be closed down completely and it's the last public boat ramp still open on Lake Travis.

Keep an eye out on lake levels by visiting our Lake Travis Water Level page.
