The Austin American Statesman reports that a 22-year old man from Bertram Texas died Saturday night in the waters of Lake Marble Falls. Identified as 22-year old Colby DeWayne Hiatt, the man reportedly went under the water in a strong current and didn’t resurface. Searchers from Cottonwood Shores and Granite Shoals combed the water and eventually found his body in 6 to 10 feet of water.

Then on Sunday, authorities began searching for a man that reportedly went missing in Lake Travis, at Windy Point Park. That man, described as in his mid 20’s, went missing around 8pm Sunday and after an initial search of the area, first responders said their search had turned into a recovery effort, and would have to wait until morning.
