The Austin Business Journal named the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce as 10th in the Top 25 chambers in the Greater Austin Chamber service area.
“We are thrilled to be named as a top chamber of commerce by the Austin Business Journal for the fourth year in a row,” said Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce President Laura Mitchell.
The Austin Business Journal ranks various industries each week in different categories. Chambers were recognized for the size of their memberships in Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis and Williamson counties.
The Lake Travis chamber, established in 1986, boasts about 450 business members.
“It is a great testament to the local businesses that make up this organization and keep it strong and thriving,” Mitchell said.
On May 25, the chamber also graduated the second class of Leadership Lake Travis—a group aimed at looking deeper into local government, law enforcement, retail and economic development, tourism, education, charity and nonprofits. The chamber is enrolling now for the third class later this year. Thirty slots are available. Visit

"I think there's a buzz that's created when something is successful," Mitchell said. "We can learn from year to year what works best."
