An annual concert that raises scholarship money and memorializes former Lake Travis pitcher Brittany Tuck has been scheduled for next month.
The Seventh Annual Brittany Tuck Memorial Benefit Concert will be held on March 13th from 12-10 p.m. at Camp Ben McCulloch in Driftwood. Since its inception, the concert has raised over $90,000 in scholarship money for students at Dripping Springs High, Lake Travis High and Dayton High.
Tickets will be sold for $20 and a lunch will be included with that purchase. Live and silent auctions will also be held and Freddy Andrews from Honeybrowne, Texas Renegade, Michael Myers, The Jerry Martin Band, Whitney Rae and Chad Hudson are among the scheduled musical acts.
More information can be found on the event’s Facebook page.
Tuck earned the 2000 All-Central Texas Player of the Year award as a Lake Travis sophomore. She finished off her prep career at Dayton and earned a scholarship from Sam Houston State but was killed in a car accident in December of 2003.
Tuck’s father Keith is currently the softball coach at Dripping Springs. Her younger brother Jeff recently signed with the Eastern New Mexico University football program.
