Texas Tech on Wednesday officially announced four football recruits have enrolled for the spring semester. Wide receiver Marcus Kennard from Butler (Kan.) Community College, quarterback Michael Brewer from Austin Lake Travis, running back Ronnie Daniels from Albuquerque (N.M.) La Cueva and linebacker Blake Dees from Spanish Fort (Ala.) will be able to go through winter conditioning and spring practice.

Two more mid-term enrollees — Brenham wide receiver Derek Edwards and Greensboro (N.C.) cornerback Jeremy Reynolds — also are expected to join the team shortly. All six players have signed financial aid agreements. Players who enroll at mid-term do not sign letters of intent.

“Anytime you have someone that can graduate high school or junior college ahead of schedule, you know you are getting a well-rounded student-athlete who has a strong commitment,” Tech coach Tommy Tuberville said. “All four have great speed, which continues to be our focus as we build our team.”
