The Greater Taylor chapter of Ducks Unlimited will hold its annual fundraiser and banquet Oct. 5 at the Taylor Knights of Columbus Hall.
As always the event will feature food and drinks, as well as auction items including fishing trips on Granger and Lake Austin, and hunting trips for pheasant and chukar.
Tickets are $35 per person for $45 for a couple and will be limited at the door. For information, call (512) 365-3528 or 275-5274.
The event hall is located on Highway 79 East, at the east loop overpass.
COUPLES FLY FISHING WEEKEND SETKevin Hutchison of Hill Country Flyfishers will conduct a couples fly fishing event on the South Llano River, Oct. 8-10.
The event is limited to four couples but sons, daughters and spouses are welcome. There will be instruction on fly-tying, casting and reading the water. There will also be a full-day float trip and a half-day wading trip.
Participants will stay at the South Llano River Lodge. The cost is $950 per couple.

BLANCO WILD GAME DINNER OCT. 2Blanco County organizers will hold their 11th Annual Wild Game Dinner Oct. 2 at the Blanco County Show Barn in Johnson City.
Tickets are $15 per person for the dinner, door prizes and dance to live music.
In addition, there will be a raffle for guns, hunting and fishing gear and camping equipment. There will also be a live auction.
Tickets can be purchased at participating businesses in Blanco and Johnson City, as well as from 4-H and FFA students.

ENCHANTED ROCK EXPO COMINGTexas Parks and Wildlife personnel will host a mini outdoor expo Saturday at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area.
There will be activities such as flint knapping, fly-tying and a butterfly release. Hours are 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

DELTA WATERFOWL COMING TO P’VILLEThe Heart of Texas chapter of Delta Waterfowl will hold its annual fund-raiser September 30.
This year’s event will be held at the Plfuger Hall, 203 E. Pecan in Pflugerville.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and tickets are $50 for one person, $60 for a couple of $20 for youth. Tickets purchased by Sept. 27 are automatically entered in a drawing for a Remington 870 shotgun.
