For the second time in three weeks Lake Travis is playing in one of if not the biggest games in the state. The Cavaliers put their 48-game winning streak on the line at home to Aledo on Friday -- and broke it with a 14-10 loss.
While the Cavs were winning the 4A Division I state title last December, Aledo was winning the Division II title. Lake Travis is without standout quarterback Micahel Brewer who suffered a shoulder injury late in their win over Hendrickson win. Brewer joins receiver Connor Floyd on the sidelines, Floyd broke his leg in their opening game win against Westlake. The Bearcats come to Austin from the Fort Worth area with one of the best backs in the state in junior Johnathan Gray.
